5.2-magnitude aftershock jolts New Britain region, Papua New Guinea -- USGS

HONG KONG, Aug. 4 (Xinhua) -- An aftershock measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale jolted New Britain region, Papua New Guinea at 0648 Beijing Time on Thursday (2248 GMT on Wednesday), minutes after a 5.9-magnitude quake, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter of the aftershock, with a depth of 23.9 km, was initially determined to be at 5.0355 degrees south latitude and 148.2498 degrees east longitude
